Business Development Manager – England
This role will requires travelingThe successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of creating persuasive, innovative and articulate bid documents and supporting documentation.
Swift & Safe Security is currently targeting significant growth across various sectors. The Business Development Manager will work alongside the MD of our Corporate & Public & Infrastructure division, to provide a high quality, comprehensive, professional and responsive Business Development service. The Business Development Manager will concentrate on relationships and pipeline development, but will directly contribute to and assist in all bidding activity. This role is pivotal to the creation of winning bids. With demonstrable experience of identifying and securing new FM business with blue chip clients, the successful applicant will have a strong network of contacts in a variety of industries e.g. pharmaceutical, finance and banking and professional services. The post holder will work closely with the Bid Manager who leads and manages the Central Team and which translates selected pipeline opportunities into winning bids.
The key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager will include: - Working closely with the divisional MD’s and the Bid Production Manager to deliver a pipeline of opportunities which are of appropriate type, quality and size to sufficiently deliver the targeted new business
- Working with the Account Directors and Account Managers, to lead re-bids and contribute to targeted organic growth
- Overseeing and moderating the delivery and quality of tender submissions in relation to Public Sector and Infrastructure Bids
- Securing appropriate market intelligence and developing networks of contacts across relevant Public Sector and Infrastructure clients to enable timely intelligence/ leads
- Working in close conjunction with the Central Bid Team to develop innovative solutions and win themes for individual bids and oversee their translation into a coherent and lucid proposition
- Preparing and delivering presentations, reports and proposals
The successful Business Development Manager will:
- Be of degree level caliber and possess relevant experience of business development processes
- Have demonstrable experience of working in the Facilities Management arena, with particular reference to Public Sector
- Possess a full understanding of OJEU procurement process and the wider FM service procurement processes and procedures including all differing procurement vehicles
- Have demonstrable experience of winning bids in a relevant environment
- Have a proven track record of developing relationships in a commercial context.
- Be fully conversant with cost modelling skills and have a sound commercial understanding of the FM market sector
- Ability to deliver results in a sophisticated environment

- Delivering written reports

Job Role :- - To manage on time company responses to tender opportunities within the area they support, securing new business wins and contract renewals.
- Facilitate Technical Sales Support, Program and Bid Management capability to the Sales Team
- Introduce a structured response to bid requests.
- Day to day operation and bid management
- Target and Objective setting
- Prioritization of Sales Accounts/Projects and associated Technical Sales resources
- Liaison with Pre-Sales and Product Line Management for all relevant technologies
- Where appropriate, prepare and carry out technical discussions and presentations with customers in support of the Business Development/Sales Team
- Technical co-ordination with other related customer facing organizations
- Cross Account/Project information and best practice exchange via regular Technical Sales Team meetings
- Help to co-ordinate efforts to create and deliver value to clients, seeking to further develop preferred or exclusive arrangements and broaden span of products/services.
Key Accountability :- To manage the pipeline of all new and existing bid opportunities for their area, providing timely updates of opportunities to their BDM and OD, keeping up to date records and pipeline data To write bid briefs and manage the PQQ process for all bids in area With their area & BDM, shape and deliver successful ITT submissions in line with business targets & meeting tender submission deadlines. - Pricing Contracts

- Be able & willing provide cover for the Contracts Manager when required
- Review, evaluate and understand the requirements of identified projects and suggesting successful strategies for response
- Providing and writing quality answers for pre qualification and tender documents, inline with the submission requirements

- Produce reports and run queries within databases as requested and prior to quarterly quality review meetings
